That said, I would love to see another large scale kit, but it seems we're likely to get reissued large scale kits for the most part.

I would love to see the large scale kits from Otaki/Donyusha reissued (dunno if either are still around, so perhaps from a company like Tamiya or Aoshima.)

I'd like a '99-04 Mustang GT and MACH I,'11 or newer GT with an accurate Coyote 5.0L,'12-'13 BOSS 302 and hows bout a modern Shleby GT350,500,and 1,000-all Revell, allbased off of tooling they already have (not counting engines,of course, but even those could be shared tooling for lots of it)...I mean, they gave us lots of (much appreciated) variables on the SN197's ('05-'10)....Revell? Please? :D

I wonder how this thread could be turned into something that the kit makers might pay attention to and influence them. This is pretty much all over the place, and nearly impossible to analyze.

Can anyone think of a system where this sort of input could be quantified into a list of votes for certain subject matter? How would you set up a questionnaire where subjects could be listed and a poll established where members could vote for something? You'd have to go back over everything posted so far, put in line items of car manufacturer, model and year, set up a method to nominate line item subjects to vote on, etc. Seems like something that could require a designated moderator.

But this is just all over the map, and I can't see it influencing a manufacturer. Just a pipe dream, but it would nice if such a system could be set up.

You could start by picking vehicles manufactured between certain years, say 1940-49. Then decide what people want more: car or truck. Then narrow it down to one manufacturer, Dodge pickup for example. After that, figure out what specific model, like a B Series truck, and then its year of production say a '49. BAM! The people get a 1949 Dodge B Series pickup.

Shouldnt be all that difficult if it was someones job I would think. Im certain that eventually you would be able to see a pattern where most peoples interest lies and it would become easier to narrow down a choice.

Interesting topic...
Would be nice to see RoG release some 1/24 or 1/25 kits of European 60's and 70's cars such as the BMW 2002 or Opel Commodore/Rekord... They do already have some of these on offer as larger scale die-casts, that are quite popular here in Europe among the "metalheads", so I don't understand what is the hold-up on plastic, but oh well... Will have to stick to American cars from the era for the time being :D

I second those, as well as AMT rereleasing the Chevy Dooley as a FULL detail with crew cab, Maybe even a newer Chevy body style.

Just you wait till i get done with something! :D

Me....I would love to see something like a 389 Pete w/ either a modern C series cat engine or one of the new Paccar Engines would be great!
Maybe have a few New trailers like a tri axle equipment trailer?....

Modern dually kits for all manufactures...ie.. chev, dodge, ford. etc....

Modern race car hauler for the lonestar and or petes

Modern Gooseneck 40' ft'r 4 horse slant w/ living quarters and a loading ramp?....possibly off an "Elite" brand?...etc...something of a 24/25 scale horse trailer!

ALL THE ABOVE WOULD BE IN 24/25 SCALE ONLY! B)

Juha Airio's Air-Trax company in Finland makes kits of both of those, and 1/24 - 1/25 resin kits of many everyday 60s-70s European cars (including a Volvo P-1800).

Thanks, I have heard of Airtrax, but the list you posted does not include either of the particular models I mentioned (the existing Rekord is the early 60's model, I meant the later versions but failed to specify)), and as far as I know they do not exist in any form in that scale...
Plus, even if they did exist, I thought we were talking plastic here, not 120 Euro+ resin kits :)
