This is a really old build, almost 10 years old. But I had it out of the case to get pictures, so I thought I would share them with everyone. I can`t remember a whole lot about this build, but it is still one of my favorites. From memory, the paint is duplicolor.

Yeah that's very catchy, are those stripes painted on as well or decal?

David,
Do you color sand the clear or thin heavily? Do you guide coat the primer and sand flat?

Thanks everyone! From memory, I built this one using the Baldwin Motion Drag Cobra kit from way back when.

Yeah that's very catchy, are those stripes painted on as well or decal?

Thanks. The stripes were masked and painted, and then clear coated.

You missed my questions in post #5. Care to discuss your painting method?

Thanks again everyone!

Sorry Cato, I missed your response...

David,
Do you color sand the clear or thin heavily? Do you guide coat the primer and sand flat?

For this one, because it was so small with lots of curves, I didn`t guide coat this like I do sometimes with the big ones. From memory, I just used a few coats of Duplicolor grey primer, then sanded and sprayed the base red, and then masked and painted the gold stripes. Then I applied 5-6 coats of clear. I do sand the clear, starting with 1500 and moving up to 3000, followed by several grades of compounds.
I have a good bit of detail on my process in MCM issue 150.
