Well I mostly build aircraft, so I can´t identify all cars I see in this forum.
I know this is a dumb question but:

I'd be as much in the dark about an aircraft Mustang 
It's a '49 Mercury. I can't tell you who actually built that one. There is a signature under it but I can't read it.

I don't think it's an actual model- it might be one of Harry's design renderings. But yes, it is a Merc.

It is a rendering by Harry, one of the forum moderators and a key person in getting the Model Cars magazine art laid out every month.

Harry, I had no idea you were so talented, II can draw a mean stick-figure and that's about it. I actually thought that was a model all this time, nice work!

It varies... anywhere between 2-12 hours each, sometimes more... depending on how elaborate or detailed.
I'm guessing that it is a Cougar concept.
Yup. My "what if they made a new Cougar based on the Mustang" idea.

He put a late 70s/early 80s throw back Buick/Pontiac grille in it and made it cool. 
Dang Harry. You got some cool work! I need to check that section of the forum out more often. I really like the "line of fire" style taillight on the car in the logo. I never really thought of that on a Merc before.
