In the mailbox todat was a Ford C model Stake truck which will eventually become this:

2019_01.jpg

Went to the Jaxcon 2013 show today and came home with a Peerless Dodge WC-54 ambulance still in it's original shrink wrap for $10.00.  Also picked up a Testors SH-3H 1/72 helo, and a Hasegawa 1/48 scale SH-3H helicopter including Belcher Bits Canadian CH101 Voodoo decals, Gulf War Modifications for the CH-124A, Sonobouy Launcher, and Short Sponsons all for $40.00!  Couldn't pass that one up!  Brought my 14 year old son who patiently walked around with my all day!  Even got him a few kits too!  A good time was had by all!

I got one of my grails today. I went to the annual winter swap meet today and found this. It is partially built, but that's fine with me since I am going to build it.

A couple I won on eBay today,

Attached File  Fujimi Honda S800.JPG   32.4K   11 downloads

Attached File  $T2eC16dHJF0E9nmFS0(hBRBZ4Cmk0!~~60_12.JPG   32.57K   14 downloads

Anyone know anything about the Porsche, when it was produced, etc, as I've tried looking on the 'net, but can't really find anything about it.

I would guess mid to late '60s based on what looks to be the original style Revell logo. I saw a few others from the same era/series(?) in eBay recently- a Ferrari and a Jaguar. Love that box art.

The hood looks great.  I'll tell you, though, punctuation would make it easier to read your post.

The parking light lense you polished look great....would like to know what you had used on them....I am guessing Novus Products?

Good luck on both projects...

Cheers Don...

I'm actually two days late with my results. At a contest on Saturday I was able to pickup the new Revell of Germany (Moebius) International Lonestar semi kit for the wonderful sum of $40, a Revell Ford Aeromax kit, complete but open in a plastic tote, all for $10, an original, sealed MPC Truckin USA 78 style Dodge van kit for $20 and another vendor was selling kits at the rate of 3 for $20 so I was able to select a Lindberg Dodge Dakota, Revell 67 Plymouth GTX and a Revell 70 Superbird, all sealed. There was also a participant at the show walking around with a sealed MPC Dodge Warlock kit that he was trying to sell. All I've been looking for is a set of decals for this kit. After talking for a bit he decided to open the kit and sell me just the decal sheet.

All in all, a very good model acquistion day.

Believe it or not I stopped into a local Resto shop and asked one of the guys what they use, would you believe plain old Meguirs Scratch X 2.0

It worked it better than I thought, I did a few of the dash lenses as well.

I'm impressed with the way it worked to be honest.

Nick

Edit:

This is as close to a before shot I have of the dash lenses

I got a '68 Revell Firebird today. It is the Monogram boxing (2004?). Decals look good and the detail level is really good too. I have the Model Car Garage PE set.
