Dr. Cranky started a thread on these a month or so ago, and they finally came out yesterday, so I picked up a set. Now I just need to make a run to Michael's for a frame to preserve them...and to hang in the man cave with the other car art.

Just picked this up for my 1:1 today, it's a genuine SLP Ram Air H.O. hood. This exact hood was hanging on the wall at SLP, it's never been bolted on to any Firebird or Trans Am! From what I was told this is the first production hood that was made before they officially started converting cars into Firehawks (the WS6 hood was made from the same mold later on) and it was painted and hung on the wall to display along with other performance parts. The silver center, stripe, and SLP logo are all painted, that's no decal! I can't wait to get it bolted on, the plan is to have my Trans Am repainted over summer and the hood will be installed then. I'm going to fabricate an aluminum Ram Air intake box as well. I included a video of an episode of American Muscle Car that shows the hood hanging up at SLP (at around 2:25 in), and I got photos & some other documentation coming from SLP too which will be nice when we take the car to shows ![]()
(The hood is dirty in the pics since it was stored in a garage, it's not scratched up)

At the post office counter. They're $9.20 for the sheet. You could just buy a row, but there is a little info on each car on the back of the sheet. That's why I bought the whole sheet.

I got a Mustang Mach III from Ebay, a set of rims from a 2008 or 09 Challenger from Ebay. Oh and Amazon just delivered my Walking Dead Books vol 1+2 (issues 1-98 i think) and the two books, The Road to Woodbury and The Rise of the Governor. I've been on a huge Walking Dead kick since the first show aired. Oh and picked up 2 1966 Chevy Nova Pro Street models to part out on the bay, got to fund my hobby somehow!!

Since building the Airfix Stutz Bearcat, I've really wanted to get my hands on the original MPC version, today I managed to win one off eBay ... and it didn't cost the earth.

I'm going to make a mount for it so it'll be able to be monted on the front bed panel, about an inch or so above the bed itself.

I went out to the garage this morning to see a nice river of water cascading down the floor from the water heater! After a few new curse words, I managed to turn the water off and drain what was left in the tank. Thank goodness it was 65 and sunny today, was able to get the garage cleaned out and only suffered minimal loss of cardboard boxed materials, mostly work related. A quick trip to Lowes and $750 later, I will have hot water at my house tomorrow!
That spray booth and workbench remodel project just got pushed back a couple of months, but at least no kits were damaged!

Sorry to hear about your flood! I also learned the hard way about putting things directly on the floor. Then I kept my eye out for discarded pallets and cut them to the size I needed to keep stuff a few inches off the floor in the garage and basement.

Our local grocery store uses plastic pallets. I don't have basement (i don't anybody in Florida does) but those pallets come in handy for storing items off the ground outside. There's also plastic milk and pop containers that could be cut down. The plastic doesn't rot.
