Whats up guys. I love all the inspiration you all are always posting so i finally to post a car myself. Its a Revell 1975 Tom Mongoose NHRA funny car. I decide to put my own spin on it and hope it comes out as expected. This is what I've completed so far:

The body is a testors Metallic with a few coats of clear


The frame is Rust Oleum??? charcoal grey

The wiring will look more prototypically correct if you route the driver side wires under the upper blower pulley The wires should not be in front of the scoop.

Yea I wanted to do that but the I only had some pretty thick black wire that wouldnt bend so well. But Ill keep it NHRA specified the best i can. Thanks!

Looks very good so far. Got one on the shelf. Hope to get to it soon. Just to many projects ahead of it.

Getting some time on my hands decided to work on my model.  The time away from it was a positive thing i think though.  I changed the body color to a pink raspberry with a single racing stripe.  Plumbed the oil lines on the engine and made a fuel injection system.  First time trying to do both.  Should be done with this car in about a week.  Please stay tuned in on it!!

This chassis looks exactly like the one I used on my Jungle Jim car, is it the same one because if it is I'm just gonna finish my body for the Mongoose car and swap bodies every so often til I finish the chassis

Its originally the Tom McEwen Navy Mongoose but i went a different route.

Yea I know that. I have the Jungle Jim built and I'm about to start the Navy Mongoose car that's why I asked.

Hows it going guys. Just a small update on my car. I applied a few decals to the body that i had lying around. The Plymouth Logo came from the Revell Superbird kit and works well i think.  I also but the parachute on and wired it with medical tape and scrap wire. The chassis is about 85% done.  Hope you all like it!!

Yea is nobody's specifically. Made up the combo myself. Hope that's OK

Zach I dont see a problem with the combo. I love the imagination and I love to see all the outstanding work that comes from this board. Keep up the good work and the updates coming.
