The model was built from a Revell kit. The kit came to the shop shelves on the same day as the car was introduced. Revell worked on kit parallel with the factory works on the real car ! So the instuction sheet is entiteld as „FERRARI F-130” The kit is originally with Hardtop but I want to have a Barchetta for sunny days – so I scratchbuilt the necessary element and rollbars.

Interesting the version of this kit that Revell of Germany sent over here and was sold in the States (and sold in those big oblong boxes that Revellogram was prone to use in the late 90's) WAS the Barchetta. I've only seen hardtop kits from Hasegawa and Tamiya.
