I agree on most accounts. AFXNScale has the stock Duster grille avail. And parts that fit multiple offerings are good for sellers, ( optimizes cash flow) not always good for buyers. Myself I tend to gravitate more towards model/make/year specific items to fill my needs. But I rarely do factory stock builds so my opinion may be slightly asqued one way or another.
and if your referring to the Harts Parts Resin Duster bench seat ? it is NOT correct It has WAY to big of a gap in the center of the backrest portion
yup I was thinking of Harts seat but was unaware its incorrect sorry I'm not much of an A body guy but did own a 1:1 72 Swinger with a 440 that was lots of fun

And while I'm thinking about it....Road Runner/GTX grills for the AMT kits with separate clear headlight lenses would be nice too....

- 340 horizontal stripes were similar to the 1970 Road Runner ;
- Upholstery pattern is waaayyyyy different , and ;
- Carter AVS carb vs. the ThermoQuad of '71 & later (a minor detail , but one that would bother me) .
I know that MrMike built an amazing replica of his 1970 Duster 340 , using the aforementioned 1970 grille ; he also got a hold of the 1970-only , 340-only stripes . Unfortunately , they're long discontinued ...
RealGone58 : The wheel covers on the bottom row ( the 1971-only , Plymouth-only , 14" Deluxe ) are the ones I'm referring to ! They were available on A , B and E bodies . I'd have to gobble a few sets up if they were ever made available !

Is there an aftermarket company that specialises in just MOPAR parts?
What do all of you think?

Bill, where did you get the tail light assembly./trunk trim from for this GTX? I converted an AMT '68 Road Runner to a '68 Satellite, and that would have come in very handy. All I could find were the Keith Marks GTX Decals, and I had to buy two sets and cut them up a bit to make it look close, I ended up compromising and making it into a Sport Satellite rear end treatment...

...and the Edelbrock ST-15 ( or something like that ) "Bathtub" intake !! It was Super Stock legal in the 70's ; it was for the RB engines (not sure if it was produced for the B engines ...) , and even one was made for the 340 (very rare) .

Realgone, are you sure the hubcap at far right isn't an unpainted roulette wheel?
Bonekrosha, We want to do as much as possible for 1/16th but don't look for anything big unless things go exceptionally well. In other words no chassis, interiors or full bodies. I would like to do a General Lee to Daytona 500 conversion set in 1/16th to start. For that and the police wheels i'm looking at 3D printing.
Chris, Do you have a picture of that Weiiand?
John, are you talking bathtub intake as in the General Lee kit and Street Charger? I never knew there was a 340 version.

I would like to do a General Lee to Daytona 500 conversion set in 1/16th to start.
RMR used to make a Daytona conversion for the 1/16 General Lee kit which included the nose, rear spoiler and fender scoops/blisters pieces. I think it's still listed in their online catalog, but the pics are no longer viewable. They once were, however...

The rear window/dutchman panel was never addressed by RMR from what I can see, though. Considering the rest of the MPC 1/16 GL is anything but stock, I'm not sure how positive the investment vs. sales ratio would be. ![]()

I'll be in and out for most of this weekend but i'll say this before I go. Kev and I are both products of the seventies. Both born in 65, our formative years were late sixties and early seventies, for many the hieght of the MOPAR years was about 1968 to 1972 or 3. From the "Scat Pack" to the SE, GT and RT. From bumper to bumper and rockers to roof...I grew up with Mother MOPAR. What caught my eye as a youth was an electric blue Roadrunner with 43 on it litteraly running away from the competition at Daytona. Dandy Dick Landy, Color Me Gone! Hurst HEMI under glass, Air Grabbers and shaker hoods, police wheels, slotted dish and Rallye's. BUMBLE BEES! Gotta love the Bumble. If I can't have a HEMI I want a hot 360 and a 727 Torqueflite. Grocery getter? What about a nice little slant 6?
MOPAR was just what caught our attention. They were all over racing then and for a little kid it was bright colors that moved fast and made alot of noise. I dare you to find any little boy that isn't into that no matter who the manufacturer is.
It was that "jar of rocks" exhaust that did it. That and the color. One day as I was playing in the front yard, a guy idled by in something like this...

That's all it took for me. So while it may take a little while we'll be getting together a list soon of all these suggestions. I won't say we'll do all of them but we'll do what we can. We're going through a bit of a rough time right now because Kevin just found out his imaginary girlfriend is cheating on him.
I asked him if he was alright with it. He said "Yes...it's for the best...I have a feeling she would have wanted the kids raised imaginary."

I can see it having limited appeal. I knew there was a kit out there but didn't know who made it. I planned from the start to address the rear window, I mean how could you not right? It's really only a big deal for guys who can replace bodywork with sheet plastic, but can't do trim because it's more delicate. I can see after the initial investment from the 3D printers for the nose section and making the rest of the masters myself it should be worth a limited release. Until the first set of molds die anyway. Bottom line really though is i'm going to do it for myself anyway because I want to build two 1/16th Daytona's so why not offer a few up? ![]()
