I can make masters and cast parts with the best of them...but I never woulda thunk coming up with a name would be the hardest part!

Sounds like you have a good plan going....The Magnum will be a hot seller to us Mopar fans.

If I can bear to let any of them go! :)

The MAGNUM is my all time favorite MOPAR. From that body I hope to do a Charger and Cordoba, and eventually the TV Tommy Cordoba funny car.

MAGNUMMODELS is going to be my fallback name. I'm still going to contact chrysler about Rapid Transit Resins. I really like that name. :)

Either one will work....I had a 78' Magnum XE bought ....I put a deposit down on it .....Went back the next week and the guy sold the car out from under me...With a $200 Deposit on the thousand dollars he wanted for it.....I told him I want my money back....I eventually got it back....After a few not so nice calls to him...It was White with the burgundy interior...360-4 Barrel Automatic...That was 20years ago.

I had a black with burgandy interior 79 Magnum GT with a 360-4v.  I miss that car like a lost family member.

I would love to have these two sets of full wheel covers:

dodge-challenger-hubcaps-354.jpg

1970 and 71

dodge-challenger-hubcaps-353.jpg

These are the correct ones for the Bullitt Charger (slight variations over the years). They are similar to the ones of the 69 Dart kit and the 68/69 Coronet annuals, but they are not the same. I think the pictured ones are available on a diecast of the Bullitt car. Very expensive, though.

Those 1970-1971 "W11" wheelcovers are the BEST !

There are , If I remember correctly , three different centres' callouts : "Dodge" , "Charger" , "Challenger" , and *maybe* "Dart" .

I'm hoping that Missing Link Resins will cast these up as well :)

i used to cast the ones from the  68/69 coronet kit, but they stopped selling when the revell darts came out

I actually have the diecast so it shouldn't be a problem at all. :)

I should've clarified ; I'm referring to the 1970-1971 "pie crust" wheel covers .

(as a side note , Kevin ; my arthrhitis has been flaring-up too much as of late ; I can't make a master of the '72 Road Runner rear bumper for the Monogram '71 Satellite :( ).

Yes, the 70/71 covers were available with different centers. At least the Challenger had its own. Maybe the rest of the car lines got a generic center.

The lower ones differed in center design and colors of the indentations over the years. The 68/69 ones are darker, IIRC. Kevin, I think a lot of people would appreciate to have these ones in resin. Besides being correct for the Bullitt Charger they lend themselves for plain Jane Dodges, as well.

I'd like to see these cast also... this style would be neat to use with the AMT and Revell '70 Challengers, AMT '71 Charger, and the MPC '71 Demon if the reissue really happens.

A '71 Plymouth wheelcover for the Duster kit would be interesting also..
