This is what's on the cheapie-prepainted diecast kit of the Bullit bad guy car.

They don't look bad, but I think they could be much better. I picked this up at a yard sale a few years back and never could decide what to do with it. I wanted to do a re-build (Which just might happen now) but now I see it's at least good enough to provide a couple parts.

A '71 Plymouth wheelcover for the Duster kit would be interesting also..

Hmmm, those actually look like scratchable wheelcovers.

I'll also be looking at several projects involving this little beauty.

i used to cast the ones from the  68/69 coronet kit, but they stopped selling when the revell darts came out

Kevin you should bring those wheel covers back....The ones in the Dart kits  closer to 1/24 scale as opposed to 1/25, plus the MPC wheels look much better then the other ones....And they fit the AMT/MPC Tires perfectly.....Magnum...please bring out that Charger/Cordoba.....And Magnum.....I would HAVE to get at least two of each.

There was a nice looking Magnum XE in "The Junkman" by Halicki. That two tone paint is gorgeous. You guess how the car ends in the movie.... ;)

Although this is a - for me- very late model I would surely be interested if quality is good.

It's actually billed as a '76. No reason it couldn't be styled to '75...or a Cordoba...or...:D

I'll be working hard on those models to be sure, especially the MAGNUM. What I need is a 3D laser scanning service that's reasonable enough to get me a program for a 3D printer.

I'll certainly look into it.

Turns out, the 1957 300C engine has the wron manny for the "Christine" dual carb setup. It would work...but it's from a much beefier engine. Guys, I need some suggestions for a replacement intake for the 1958 Christine kit.

Car Craft magazine modified a '78(?) Magnum as a feature back in early-mid 1978.  It was black, had some yellow and orange graphic stripes and I can't remember the rest of the details, but it was pretty neat for it's time.  I wouldn't mind building one of them or even a Volare or Aspen.  And, how about some K-cars?  Our first new car was an '85 Reliant woody wagon and 10 years later I  had an '89 turbo Spirit that was a blast to drive.  There is  a 2.2 turbo motor in the Monogram Shelby Charger kit that might be suitable and those kits had some nice wheels, too.

Sorry to burst your bubble so early, but there will be NO K-cars.

I have pictures of the MAGNUM you speak of, and if Photobucket ever straightens themselves out i'll post them. Basically I will be doing 1980 and prior models, and the only reason I stretched it to 1980 is because of the Mirada.

But with the availibility of the hubcaps in the Revell Dart , ask. Why ?

Can't remember if I've suggested this yet..

Six-Pack/Air Grabber-style Aircleaner assembly, singe quad, a tunnel ram, and six pack intake(w/carbs) for RB motors, Hemi Tunnel Ram.

IN 1/16th !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one's in the Dart kits are closer to 1/24 scale as opposed to 1/25 th , They look great on the 1/24th scale 69' Super Bee And Challenger kits....But on the 1/25 scale cars...To me they look almost like 16 inch wheels...Plus if anyone has any of the old MPC 68' and 69' Coronet and Charger kits missing the stock wheels....You can replace them with the resin ones....They also look great on the AMT Challenger  kits with a set of the old whitewalls found in the MPC Annuals..Not the slightly bigger ones used in the 71-74 Impala/Caprice kits..The ones commonly used in the Challenger,Charger,Cuda and Coronet kits,Which is a set of tires I would love to see brought back in a set by Round 2 , Like they did with the slicks and Firestone Supreme sets......I use those a lot on my builds.

You mean the F70 Goodyear WideTrack "Speedway"??

They were in the M-K 70 Bonneville re-issue believe it or not.

I thought they had retooled them into the raised letter version in all the Vega'a,

Smokey Convoy Chaser, etc, and the Modern tool 71 Duster (I never liked that tire,

I preferred the Older "Speedway")

These tires also were included in the reissue of the 1960 MPC Corvette. The gold one, #38595, Copyright 2007. But they don't have any whitewall stripes like the annual tires.

I always liked the look of this tire, but being a solid tire the moldings are not good, the tread is wavy.

Thanks to the "Christine" kit coming out, one of my most popular items (and i'm not even open yet!) is the carb/air cleaners set. I'm thinking they will be even better if I had a manifold to offer with them. Does ANYONE have the twin four barrel setup from the '63 Chrysler 300 by Jo-Han they would be willing to lend for molding? Or any comparable manny from another Chrysler fifties/early sixties era?

EDIT: We are approximately twenty days away from ready to open! B) (cue the dancing banana!)

I had a black with burgandy interior 79 Magnum GT with a 360-4v.  I miss that car like a lost family member.

It's getting to that time. I'm compiling parts and planning new stuff almost daily. I made this offer in the truck section for the convoy fans and i'm going to do it here for the Dodge fans, more specifically fans of "Death Proof!" If you're a Tarantino Grindhouse fan then you've seen it, and most of you recognised the tiny tribute on the hood, to the Rubber Duck of "Convoy" fame. Here's your chance to get a Rubber Duck virtually free!

IMG_2930-1.jpg

All you need to do is send me a self addressed, stamped envelope to get your free rubber duck! Why would I do this? First and foremost of course is promotion. Second to that is to showcase my casting ability. Wheels in 1/25th scale are one thing. I wanted to test my limit so I picked one of the smallest, most difficult things I had in the parts box to try and cast...and it worked! Finally, I hate waste. It's nearly impossible to measure the amount needed to cast a particular item. There's always a few drops of resin left over. Rather than waste it I always keep an extra mold or two on hand to pour the extra into. This leads to a surplus at times.

So here's what you do if you want your duck. Send me a PM for my address. Then send an s.a.s.e. to that address to get your duck. All I ask is that you limit requests to two ducks per person, and if you've already gotten in on this in the truck section please pass this one up. That's all there is to it. :)
