Does anyone know if this truck is in a 1/25th kit form? I saw a pic of a model but can't find anymore info on it.

Bummer!!! Well my scratchbuilding skills may get tested more then. But first, the Duel rig needs worked on. Thanks Brian for the answer.

There was never a kit for the Kenworth 953, however some folks have built it over the years. There was a modeler who during the early 1980's sold resin parts to convert the W900 into a 953, The cab is the same and he sold the hood, axles, transmission, wheels and tires. I don,t think you can buy them any longer but it should be reassuring to note that it has been done and could be done again.

I know all of this because I worked for Kenworth for 32 years and saw some great 953 and 953s 1/25 models during the time I was there.

Hope this helps

helps a lot. too bad you didn't take a ton of pics while working at KW but I guess work was more important to the family. ;)

At one time I had lots of 953 pics because I wanted to build one. Unfortunately I don't have them any longer. If you do decide to build one I might be able to contact some friends you may have pictures and get you copies.
