Ronnie, it won't STAY changed! If i sign back in it goes to the OLD setting, the one I WANT, but now it stopped doing that. If I sign out, it makes me sign back in an stays in this junky format. It's getting frustrateing. It's been messing with me for a coupla moths now. sometimes it lets me post sometimes not, gotta rE post stuff, an now this! It's gettin ta be a REAL drag to even do this. If it wasn't for ALL the great folks I've met and the good freinds i've made here, I would just hang it up. All this server B/S is gettin to be a REAL drag! don't even know it THIS 'll post!

Guys, I messed up an pressed the "Change Format" box in the bottom lefthand corner of the page.
Did you click on the "Change Theme" tab? Once you do that, it gives you the option of selecting "IP.Board" or ""IP.Board Mobile"-- which did you change to, or alternatively, which are you trying to change back to and keep? Are you on a PC/laptop or a mobile device/tablet?

Trying to post here is a real pain when you have to do things 2 or 3 times before it takes

See the spaceman avatar at the title of this section? That's Dave Ambrose. Just click on the avatar.
Admittedly, that's not exactly intuitive.

This is a bug in the forum software. Several people have been bitten by this. Unfortunately, you guys can't cure this problem by yourselves. If you get stuck with the mobile theme, PM me and I'll switch it back.
I'm not on the forum as much as I used to be; partly because of work, and partly because I'm consciously trying to spend more time building model cars, and less time reading about them.
But, if you need help, PM me. That shows up in my email box, and I'm mostly keeping up with that.
Cheers,
Dave Ambrose

I'm still having trouble with posting. A straight post is no sweat, but if I quote or add a picture I have to copy and paste a couple times to get it to work. Then when it does work it changes my signature blu to black type. It does this even after deleting my online cache.

With neither of the computers I usually use which both have Windows XP can I post photos using the IMAGE icon but with my wife's laptop which has Windows 7 I am able to as I am doing with this test just as I was able to do until recently with Windows XP. This one of the many reasons I may never buy another computer using a Microsoft operating system.

Posted using Windows XP on an aging PC
Doesn't appear to be an XP problem, try using the "Code for forums" link.

Thanks Bill - This seems like the best potential solution to the image posting problem so far on this thread. Can you please explain how to use
"Code for forums". Where does one make this selection?

POSTING PHOTOS FROM FOTKI - I had to ask Bill for some extra instructions so for others who may be a little slow figuring out computer techniques [like myself], this is how it is done.
- In fotki click on the photo you want to post
- Click on Share, then more sharing options
- Beside Code for forums highlight the URL and right click copy
- This is pasted directly into your post but the photo does not show until you Preview Post. The photo will appear with Hosted by Fotki
- You do not use the Image icon to insert
Thanks Bill for this solution

It could just be a older post where the poster has removed the picture from their PB account.

Yeah, I get some pictures, but also some geometric outlines or a description of a picture-" picture of (fill in the blank)". But I can see my gallery and pictures on the other mag forum. Weird.
