Thanks for the heads-up , Casey !

I had this kit back in circa 1977 (second issue ? 1972 was its original issue , I believe ... ) . Had to have it : VANDAL ! , the name spoke to me !

It's based upon the Chevy Van of '70 & earlier ; but that BOSS 429 is a bit of a head scratcher ... LS-6 sounds better to me . But , that's my -opinion- .

I'm quite looking forward to buying one of these ! I may even try to partially convert it back to a sembelance of its front clip's stock features (but keep the custom grille / CIBI Headlights) , and *perhaps* swing a 396/427/454 in place of the Boss .

My favourite feature of this kit : the psychedelic posters !

The vanbulance is pretty much the same model, except the bumpers, decals and the interier and the hightop part on the roof, , i just rebuilt a vabulance, they are both cool kits.

I would almost buy that for the mini bike alone! Like Austin, if anyone gets one and happens to not want the mini bike, please let me know!

Just out of curiosity, does this have anything resembling a chassis that would make the unusual engine location mechanically feasible?

I was curious about the chassis too .

I found the instructions , take a look for yourself .  It looks like a flat slab of plastic with no detail .

Looks like they used a transfer case type deal for the off-set engine-to-driveshaft problem.

Does anybody have pictures of this kit built? I'd love to see what it looks like finished. I'm especially curious about what the interior looks like with the interior decals in place. And again I ask, does anybody know if that mini bike in this kit is based on a real mini bike? And if so, what mini bike? Or is it something just made up for this model?

I had that kit back in the seventy's. All I have left is the mini bike motor and one wheel.
