This may be old news to everyone, but I was doing research for a project and just found out that gassermadness.com is gone, and that Byron Stack, who ran the site, died back in April.

The site was THE go-to source for correct information and many, many photos of the gasser classes and cars. There was some noise made about keeping the site up, but I guess nobody cared enough to actually follow through. Damm.

Well, if anyone wants to keep this kind of thing rolling, it's the exact reason why i started www.scalereference.com

If we get enough people in enough different interest areas to maintain their 'section', it will insure it will last for all.

I've been hoping Scale Reference caught on.. it's a great framework for reference material.

I noticed this few days ago too when I tried to go to GasserMadness Website. Very sad, it was great site.

Wow, never heard of it, but absolutely incredible reference page. Especially that Pro Mod section is fantastic.  Bookmarked.

What a bummer.  R.I.P. Byron Stock.  I definitely appreciated his cool website.  It was a great source of vintage gasser pics.
