Why should we believe in this supposedly mayan end of the world if the mayans themselves don't believe it?
http://www.cbc.ca/ne...endar-1229.html
It's just another end of the world rumor started by the same stupid people that predicted the all the previous ends of the world...
World cannot end now, I have a closet full of kits to build ![]()

The Mayan, believed that this is when the Sixth cycle ends, that's all. The end of the sixth cycle and the beginning of the seventh. It is left to unseen, and ,unknown generations to write, a new calendar for the next 56,000 years, until the next end of the new world. In the mean we are left to suffer the pains, and joys, of the current time left to the Sixth Cycle of the GODS.

If the Mayans had the intelligence to accurately predict when "the world" would end, why aren't they still here?

We survived KY2 or whatever it was called. We survived both raptures. And so on. We'll get through this just fine.

I thought they moved the apocypse to Jan 6, 2013. The Mayans didn't account for leap years.

I'm gonna stock up on Oreos RIGHT NOW, and get a batch of possum liquor cookin'. After enough possum hooch, a man could see all kinds of things in the face of an Oreo...........

If the world truly ends this coming week, then what is all the fuss about a "fiscal cliff"?
My wife wants to go shopping this afternoon for Christmas presents and I have been telling her to wait until next Saturday, there could be some better sales!

The Mayan calendar was made of a giant rock. It's not something you'd want to go out & buy every year, so they made it to go on for years. It just ends on the 22nd. My 2011 calendar ran out on the 31st of December & the world didn't end. I just bought a 2012 calendar. I guess, maybe it's time to go buy a new Mayan calendar.
Jeff
Maybe make the new one on a bigger rock

no they just ran out of stone...
That was because people kept pinching it out of the stationary cupboard to take home for their kids to draw on.
