The 1957 Ford came in four main types, Custom, Custom 300, Fairlane and Fairlane 500, with numerous derivatives thereoff. Besides a longer wheelbase, the Fairlane and Fairlane 500 series were distinguished by the hardtop body style in two and four door designated repsectively Club and Town Victoria. In addition, there were the Sedan type in two and four doors similar to the Custom and Custom 300. Now my question: Did the Customs share the same roof with the Fairlane (B-Pillar) sedans? Or to put it simple: Can I fit the new Revell '57 Ford Custom on an AMT Fairlane 500 Club Victoria to get a Fairlane Club Sedan?

The Club Sedan had a longer wheelbase than the Custom, and had a completely different roof line. Why Ford had two different two door post sedans is something of a mystery, but they sure did sell them all. Adding a pillar to the Fairlane 500 would get you much closer to a Club Sedan. The Custom chassis would most likely have to be lengthened to fit the Fairlane body.

Thanks for the reply. If I understood correctly Ford had three roof styles in 1957: Hardtop for the Fairlanes. Fairlane sedan. Custom sedan, right?

Correct, 3 different two door closed roof styles, or four if you include the Skyliner retractable hard top.
