While learning all I can about molds and mold design it became very apparent what a big part the mold design plays in a succesfull casting. I'll soon be casting engines and I know what would be easiest (to me anyway) but I wanted to get a good idea of how you prefer your engine kits to come.

Although I've never had a kit with heads molded to the block halves, it would seem to me it would be the easiest way to to do it. I can't tell you how many times I have glued them on and the realized later one isn't straight and the intake doesn't fit right.

I prefer separate. That way small adjustments can be made on the heads to ensure the intake fits.

i used to have that problem aswell untill i got into the habbit of installing both head with the intake in place

(dont always install the intake at this point but i mock it up to use as a guide for the heads)
