I still like the car that was originally intended for this stage. Whatever you put in there, as long as it has some color to it, looks great but the tarped car is the best, IMHO.

Putting it in perspective. It looks much more real zoomed in. Superb Job Jim! It was fun to be along for the ride.

OK fellow diorama lovers, here is my final layout for this diorama.
I just realized I have no name for this diorama.
The main theme of this diorama is the little boy and his apple cart car. I added a light hidden under the shelf that spot lights the boy and the cart.
I painted the father in colors that will not highlight the father. And I tried to get the viewer's eye to go to the little boy and then to the hot rod.
( I want to try and add a dog sitting next to the little boy. The dog is coming in the mail. )
All critiques and comments welcome.

Wow, I love them all. What a great, well-executed diorama, Jim. It does belong in a museum. The lighting is a wonderful extra touch.

aside from the exquisite workmanship, the Hollywood Garage hits all the high points a diorama should have. Great Job!

Another idea to throw your way would be to repaint the father in color, then add the grandpa figure you showed earlier in the main colors. Make it look like the dad's dad is looking on from beyond, and giving his approval. Just a thought for you to ponder.

I've been following this since day one....... but made no comment, as pretty much everything has been already said.
But now it's finished and I can sit back and enjoy it, I have only one word. Brilliant!!!!! But even that doesn't fully descibe how I feel about it. I'm in awe.
The last few pictures really make it POP. Don't change a thing.

This is such an awesome diorama. All of the cars look great in it but I have to agree with Brad that the '32 that is covered looks the best. I can't wait to see this at the Desert Scale Classic in April.

Jim, this is absoluteyl phenomenal work, I can't do work like this, but I really enjoy seeing a well done diorama! Take a bow, have a nice cold one, and enjoy, you've earned it with this work of art!
Jim How about "Memories".

I think Junior nailed it, that would really make this one hit the right note!
