Yeah the new stance really sets the tone and makes it look good. Being a huge mopar fan I'm really looking foward to seeing this car being built and finished. ![]()

So Mr. Mason. Will there be a TFchronos fielded Mopar this time around?
Posted 26 January 2013 - 06:38 AM
Well my first entry will have some Mopar in it. I remember seeing a post that we can enter 2 cars so if this one goes well and I have the time I'll build a full blood Mopar. I got an old GTX one of my first builds that's kinda well fallen apart. Built back before I had any real knowledge so if I have enough time than I will rebuild it, better, stronger, faster. ![]()
Your post actually reminded me that I haven't officially entered yet. I've been here everyday to post my entry but end up browsing the under glass section and forgetting lol. So here is my entry this year, it's a '32 Ford (cause I couldn't find a Dodge) Sedan. My plans are to chop the top, lower it, and extend the frame allowing for 2 426 Hemi's. I got a few more ideas but I'll keep them to myself for now, all road legal for course.

Story behind it, not really much just a guy who had a wild idea. I don't plan on taking first with it. I'm just gonna go out and have a good time with it and give it everything I got. Throwing reality (for the most part) out the door, it will be road legal just not really practical for a fast cross country marathon.
Then again I wonder if I could get a voodoo witch doctor to give it supernatural powers to absorb the gas from cars around it, I might stand a chance that way. ![]()
That's my first and primary entry if I have enough time I'd like to try and rebuild my 67 gtx. Plans for this is complete rebuild, color change and I got this viper engine sitting around so I'll see about stuffing it in.

It's great to see so many entries this year hopefully we'll have alot of cars at the end, goodluck everyone. May the luck of the Seven Pillars of Gulu be with you at all times.

I did some work on the Cutlass this week, here is a mock up of where I'm at.

There will be a few surprises I still have to work on.

heh I have that kit.. when I got it I was disappointed in it.. the box art made it look like it had a viper v10 in it.. but that is only the top half of it.. the heads down is V8.. I would like to see what you make of this mopar flop.
Did you ever count the rocker arms ? 11

Well, 11 blobs moulded into the top of the cylinder heads.
The stock 340 Duster has the same.
Both engines are identical except that the Street Machine version has a twin throttle body EFI inlet manifold that some claim has 10 runners (I contend that it has 8 & some dubiously moulded lumps).
As both engines use the same exhaust manifolds which are obviously meant to cater for 8 exhaust ports (with siamesed centre ports) then I think we can be pretty sure it's not a viper engine in the SM kit.

Street Machine Engine

A blueprinted EFI 340 v8 is probably the perfect engine for this race (but lose the cast extractors & mufflers). Plenty of go but also not too bad on fuel (compared to say, a Hemi or BBC).
For the first run I used a Duster chassis under the Dustball 500 and used this engine with the EFI (with ram air) but with Hemi heads to make a phantom short stroke rev monster.

Some progress on the chassis and interior...

Havent done much lately on my 06 camaro. Only thing im tackling atm is the suspension. The detail, or rather lack of detail, on the Jada set is poor... So I have taken upon myself to build my first working suspension. Will be good for those back-country roads as well to be able to lift the car a bit.

The body of this shocks are threaded, so these are fully adjustable. And static is way better than air... ![]()

I hope everyone makes it to the finish line cuz there are some really cool things happening here.
It`ll probably be a month or so before I start my truck. I`m looking forward to building this one.

Looking good everyone and I agree with you A.R.C. if everyone can get their car's done in time it will be an amazing year for the cannonball cbp, I'm glad I'm apart of it this year.
