I still have the ford.. but I am working on the TZH project for a little wile. at least until I cool down on it and recollect my thoughts and rebuild steam. I usually do.. the TZH took a fall but only one thing broke on it.. I need to get one of those shock collar things put it on that cat LOL
Wanna borrow my dogs? They're small but they'd make short work of that cat. We USED to have a LOT of feral cats in our neighborhood that would hang out in our yard. We don't have very many feral cats anymore.

Darn you Rob Mattis!!
Ever since I saw these drawings, I haven't been able to keep the wheels from turning! So, I finally gave in and bought a couple of kits to do my own version. In order to make it my own, I'm using an AMT '57 Thunderbird body and the chassis, drivetrain, front seat from the Phantom Vickie for my project. I don't know if I will get in on this CBP with the end date being in December as I have a lot of other projects on hand that need to be finished. I'll see how it goes and maybe join in later if it's OK with you. Here's a couple of mock up photos...

There's still a lot of fine tuning to be done to the body. I'm thinking that I need to fill in the front fenderwell openings a little more. Also, I'm farther along than these photos show. I have the body in primer and the interior/door panels, bulkhead and dash are done and in primer. I have the hinge setup made for the hood which will tilt forward. I'm thinking about opening the trunk also since the lines were a little wonky out of the box. The seats in the photos won't work since I have the interior done. They're too wide. The front seat from the Phantom Vickie fits nicely. But I need to section it to bring the height down. These are the mods I've made so far:
Scratchbuilt floor pan/rear fenderwells, firewall, bulk head, bottoms of door panels/kick panels
Sectioned 8" out of the middle of the rear and increased it to 20" up front. I made relief cuts in the top of the doors and rocker panels to make the center of the body curve slightly.
Sectioned the windshield frame, dash and top to match. I think I'm going to have to cut the roof apart again and make it a couple to three scale inches wider in the rear.
Sectioned 8" out of the length of the quarter panels/trunk
I'm planning on building a set of headers that will exit through the body and dump into a sidepipe similar to the drawing and a few other little things have to be done before I start shooting paint and begin detailing it. Still a long way to go before this thing sees the display case though.

My photobucket switched over to the new format. I was having trouble navigating through my eight hundred and some photos so, I decided to organize them into different folders for different builds. Little did I know all my photos on here would be removed. I will do my best to restore some of them, I know I had way too many on here anyway. Sorry for all my mess-ups.

hello buddies here is a little update click
i forgot to explain why this 72gto is a nightmare kit here is my opinion
- the mold is very bad
- some small parts are not able to use
- the kit has less details
- the parts do not fit well
because this i decide to cut this thing in to pieces and build some new one...
regards maik

The 72 GTO along with a few other kits were turned into dirt/oval short track cars, AMT tried to return the GTO back to stock.

Got my stuff and I'm now just trying to find the time, my 1:1 project needs to be ready to go to the bodyman in a little over a month, so the race is on.

I'm still around. But I'm so busy with work / home my modeling time has been nixed. I've been working a little bit on older projects that are closer to done. I will be returning eventually to my GTO. I hope.
How is everyone else doing?
