I guess I vote " No " ,  but not because I'm too busy . .  I'd just rather look at nice clear photos and see the work that was done .  If there is a link to a " How To " I'll take a quick look to see if I'm interested .

Quality of a lot of videos makes it more difficult to see details in models - so I much prefer quality still shots. Also, most of the videos I have watched don't focus on the things I might want to look at. In photos, I can spend as much time on what I want to see and not what the video maker wants to show - if that makes sense. Oh, and don't get me started on annoying video music ;)

No, too many of them ramble on instead of getting to the subject at hand. I also don't like watching  two minutes of self promotion that many have in the beginning, I came to see the subject matter, not your self promotion.

^^ What Bob said. Nine times out of ten, the video isn't shot/edited well enough to see details nor be easily followed.

I much rather see pictures because you can study a picture and see and find detail and besides some of the videos that I have seen posted in the past can make ya sea sick.......

X2.  But then, five years as a medium market television news producer has shortened my patience for watching home spun TV.

I don't think I have ever watched a video posted here. I don't want to wait through a whole video just to maybe catch a glimpse of something I might be interested in - or not. I'd rather just see pictures. If there's a video but no pictures, sorry, but I'm off to the next topic.

On this site....pics but no videos. I watch a number of channels on you tube, but when I come here, short term visits work easier, watching a 5 min video will lose me.

I also tend to enjoy videos as a teaching / learning tool. The forum is cyber land and brings all kinds out, and malware seems to be a part of SOME of these

I think the most common problem with those videos is that the camera really don't focus as nicely as it would when taking still pictures. I had to try this one myself, and yes, focusing to engine details (for example) was impossible. And usually when there's horrible music on the video, it makes me to stop watching. I really prefer pictures.

However I voted that Sometimes I do and Sometimes I don't. Especially Dr. Cranky's videos are excellent, I like watching them a lot. Especially those unboxing videos. But otherwise I watch videos very rarely.

I voted no, but thinking on it further I have enjoyed Dr Cranky's a time or two. This is just my opinion most videos are not shot very well, have ridiculous music tracks and poor communication skills.

I almost took the second option due to Dr. Crankys wonderfully informative videos,  but these are all accessible through the link in his signature line.  In the end I voted "No" for all the reasons stated above.

I'm for a short, to-the-point video that may have a tutorial tip or two, PLUS still photos. Never just a video, with overly creative intros and film techniques. Video adds dimension and understanding as long as the picture moves and is in sharp focus, perhaps with the model on a turntable.

The way I see it, posting a link in the general section to a humorous (short) video... no problem. I can decide whether or not to watch.

Unless someone has the experience to produce one properly, like Dr. Cranky, don't post it. Watching videos of some builds is almost as bad as watching paint dry*. If someone does decide to post one, keep it in the signature line and continue to post stills of the build. Clear, crisp pictures are the best way to go.

*In most cases, I'd rather be watching the paint dry.
