Thankyou Roy :-) I tend to agree with you... He would've immensely... My only wish was that he got to see them...

Cliff,

I teared up reading your post. I am the one who posted about losing his friend before I gave him his replica build. You remembered correctly, it was a 1974 Plymouth Duster. My only ease on my mind is that he did get to see the body painted & decaled. I quickly got it together curbside & displayed it at the visitation & his oldest son put it in his coffin with him.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I obviously know how you are feeling. I am glad my story reached you & got you to build for your mate. Your story hammers home the point of not delaying a tribute/gift build. I'm sorry your friend never got to see them but I know he would have been proud to get them as they are top notch builds.

As far as time healing the loss, it takes the edge off but never eliminates it unfortunately. You were closer to your mate than I was to mine and I know how much it hurts not having him here every time I hear a joke I want to tell him or relate a story from my day of dealing with truckers that I know he would get a kick out of. I can only imagine how much worse it is for you & I truly feel for you. If you ever need to talk feel free to pm me.

Joe, the irony of it all just devastates me... It just all still seem's so surreal... It's nearly 3wks since he passed away & I just can't stop thinking about him not being here anymore... It's all just so cruel.

In time, yes, maybe the pain will ease... I have my memories but I'd rather have him back...

Thankyou so much for your inspiration & your story. It touched me enough to build these cars for my bro, I'd only wished he got to see them. :(

Cheers Cliff

I know how you feel. I'm glad I was able to inspire but I am so saddened about the circumstances. I hope others learn for our stories and don't procrastinate.

Joe
