i was busy today but working 17 straight 12 hr days so this may be it for a while. im gonna pound out the paint on the body so it can cure out sunday.

i been working hard at work and not much has been done. i have got her painted and color sanded. i got a few decals down but these are old ad giving me trouble. the face on the model is missing some of the decal. it just melted off after i touched it with a cotton bud.

alittle better.

somehow the dude came out perfect.


dont know if i will be able to fix her face but the decals have a few extra peices. i may be able to get close.

i should have sealed them with clear before i started but i have never had issues with Tamiya decals. even when old ones

i worked like heck today but most of what i did can not be seen or is not ready for pics
i do want to stress to keep your models in a climate controlled area. i now recall this kit was in storage outside for a few years. that may be why ALL of the decals tore or melted on me. i hate i was not able to do better but they rip and break with little touching

Tough break on the decals, (no pun intended) But what you have so far is just great. Looks beautiful

This is such a cool car and such a cool kit! I built it recently and also had serious decal problems. Most decals wanted to disintegrate and very few went on the way they are supposed to. Fortunately, I had a back-up kit from which to poach decals, and a fellow modeler on this forum provided me with a complete extra set.
