Im a big fan of this style of truck, so I'll be watching for up-dates. Please show the chassis so we can he how you will go about lowering it that much.
Hey Bill.... Here is some pics of the chassis to show you how I lowered it that much. Keep in mind that when I did lower it I was going about it that it was going to be a curbside build. So I pretty much blued the front axle to the frame which I would gone about it different if I was going to put all of the suspension in. The rear I flipped the rear end to the top side of the chassis but I would of notched the chassis if i was adding the suspension. here are some pics of it....

Now here is a little update of what I have done this week so far.... I was able to get the seat glued together and it's ready for some bondo then primer. I also started messing with the dash removing all of the molded in knobs and using some small nails/rivets for the new knobs. I also started cleaning up the interior bucket and messing with two different types of material to try and match what was in the reference pics I took of the truck since it had something different than carpet or paint.

Edward... thanks man. my goal was to get this thing sitting in the weeds...lol
. plus the rear was as low as it would sit since the tires were touching the top of the inner fenders. The fronts were just as close too.

Lookin' good, Chris.
I think I'd go for the giraffe, but mostly because I've used the leopard a few times already. ![]()
And yep, I can fully relate on the needtofinishsomethingitis. My attention span is that of a fish, lately.

Bill... You are welcome for the Chassis shots. Hopefully they helped.
Jeremy... Thank you!
Eric... Thanks man!
Christopher... thanks man. I was leaning towards the Giraffe myself but I have one more to throw in the mix to show you guys...lol I know the feeling all to well about being like a fish and seeing something shiny...lol
Curt... You hit the nail on the head man!! I was actually thinking of painting the gold dash knobs with alclad to chrome them but I almost wonder what would happen if I just try to polish them if it will polish like brass or what it would look like. I also have already sourced some small bamboo material to do the bed like that. You know I am trying to make it to the NNL this year but I am not sure if I will be able to make it or not. I would love to make it out again because I had a blast last year. If I do make it I am not sure if I will have any builds with me or not depending on if I can get anything finished by then. So we will see. I would love to see some of my old Monterey Bay Area Scale Model buddies
Ok guys... so I picked up another style of interior decal. I will for sure go with one of these two.... Giraffe hide or Cow Hide???? I think that both with go good with that blue & white combo of the body and interior. Tell me what you guys think.... Thanks!

hmm, I don't know

I like the giraffe because its not as busy. At least it looks that way since the spot patterns are smaller than the Jersey cows. The cow pattern would detract from the rest of the interior because of its larger scale busyness. But that's just me. ![]()

You have a very good point that the cow pattern may be a bit too busy and the Giraffe. I did really like the Giraffe one before and with the vision I have for this build I think it will fit it the best. Thanks for the help.
