Anyone out there from Iowa?  I'm from Sioux City, and we've got a decent hobby shop here in town, but there seems to be mainly military modelers in my area. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there/

I know how you feel, I don't know any other model builders close to me either, my friends like to look at what I'm building but they never want to join in. I'm still really bummed that the Omaha show and swap in Feb was cancelled, its the only one I made it to

This forum is a really great place though, you sure get to see a lot of talent and ideas here !

I know what you mean about others not wanting to join in, the form is a nice substitute, but it can't replace the shows. Too bad about the show that was cancelled next month. Ther is one in Bellvue in October, Dave just posted it today, maybe we'll se you there.

I've known about the Bellvue show now for a couple years but I never make it, wrong time of year for me, too busy sitting in the combine to take a day off. I  keep thinking maybe it will rain that day but that hasn't happend yet, we''ll keep it in mind just in case.
