Hi im very new at building cars how do I get clean silver windshield frames its letting me down  :( please help

Three words...BARE METAL FOIL. :) One of the greatest modeling boons ever. It's an adhesive backed foil most of us use to do chrome trim. However if you really do mean silver, then I say mask with scotch brand frosted tape and spray or hand paint it on. If you can't score Bare metal foil in the UK i'm sure someone here can help you out. :)

For the last several years I've had good luck with silver paint pens. The Testors ones seem to work best.

I usually free-hand long straight edges, but use 3-M Fine line tape for the rest.

Experiment on some old bodies to get a "feel" for it first.

Pin-stripe tape works great too as you can turn corners with it.

Many body shops have leftover rolls they can't use.
