OK,  so this is the first engine I've detailed out since late 2004.  Added are plug wires, through .020" holes drilled through the wire looms (those raised ribs on the valve covers, which cost me 3 drill bits!).  The fuel line sediment bulb was made by chucking a piece of 1/8" styrene rod stock in my cordless Dremel, then turned to shape using a couple of needle files.

Impressive, to say the least! It's great to see something from your bench after all of these years. Now that you've started up, please keep building and posting your projects. Fury3

Beautiful job Art!
You have the engine down pat! Love your detail!
I'm attempting to do the same but match my modified 1:1 car engine that has finned valve covers and 3 carbs.
My question to you is what did you use for the ignition wires and the fuel line?
Larry

My only gripe about this engine... I wish Revell had made the plug wire looms separate parts. My only real gripe about that whole kit engineering-wise, actually.  Would've made wiring quite a bit less tedious.

Agreed.

Art or Larry- are the transmissions supposed to be engine-color, too? I always thought those were plain cast iron.

Nice work either way. I may try drilling those out myself.
