added the struts froim the axle to the chassis also altered them slightly so the fit against the chassis , had to because the axle was lowered , i even think this looks better then how you should fit it (read how revell made it
flattened the side where it go's on the chassis so it sits against the rails

gave the engine a base coat of black , now i can add color and chrome and dress it up

the bench-seat , dorpanels and dash also got a base coat of black
thinking about a mettallic paint for body and chassis , bright color , maybe green ?

i hope this summer
did the interiour plain black and painted the handles chrome , vents and stripe on dash chrome

the bench was a try out thing i made some gold / black paint and washed it on , then rubbed it and made the seems black
thought it was cool to make the bench look a bit used , lived ..
not unhappy with the result , something different from the usual browns or .....

strated on the engine , needs some cleaning up , the gold on the carbs is only a base layer , will be washed

yesterday i could not get on the forum , so here is the update of yesterday , i have a nother one i will post today because of the max 10 pics ...
i made the sparkplug wires , i took thin brass wire , and on the valve covers i used the outer skin of electrical wire to resemble the cap that gos in the hole there
i took the electrical wire and stripped a tiny bit and pulled out the wire thats inside so i can slide in the brass wire..
the distributer i had no other option to place that up hig at the front ..all scratch build

the effect of the seat >

exhaust seen from behind

actually used new valve covers since the otehr ones looking terrible , made them chrome and the bolts black
i wanted it not to look to show-y

the sratch build distributer , painter that and the wires after puttting them on , used red enamel paint and aplied it with a wooden pin stick with a sharp edge .. (usually used for pieces of meat)

i had some left over sides of hoods from revel kits with louvres ...
it would have been easy to work them into the trunk but then i would end up with what revell makes ..
i wanted something more rough and ....
the sides of the hood , started flat and the other one is already bend a tiny bit , i kept bending them untoll i got them in the shape of the trunk

i made a small visor on the front so i can ,et the wood frame i am going to make sit against that
used parts of the roof of my real woody build

now the horizontal seem will be gone , i want to make it one piece and add rivits on the sides so it looks like
put on panels , bit rough
also want to make sunken taillights in the lower part and maybe in the middle a fuel filler neck / gasscap sticking out
so still rough but you get the idea

worked some more on the rear , middle strip of styrenen and flattned the seem and put some bondo on it , now drying
when that is sanded i will make sunk taillight houses
vandaag begonnen meer vorm toe te voegen , eeen strip in het midden gemaakt de boel gevlakt en de naad tussen het onderste deel en de rest dichtgezet met plamuur ...
als dat vlak is verzonken achterlichten maken 8)

well this udate really shows the idea i had in mind with this rear end
first flattened the bondo

then the exiting part , this can easely go wrong , i first messured 3 times and drilled with a much smaller drill
and then made 2 big holes lol ...

they seem very big right ? but thats because i took 2 bezels from lego out of my sons box (my old lego) and cut it to become light houses , rewd lenses can be placed behing or on this

all together the proportions look good , i will bondo slighly aroiund the edges
