Finished it up a little while ago,you can go to my WIP section in Fotki to see the build up.Colors are MM Chrysler Yellow,Tamiya Pearl Clear, wheels and tires are the Modelhaus.I drilled out the mounting point on the headlights and then painted the mounting points on top of the shocks to try and give a turn signal effect, also drilled the 2 holes in the rear for sunken tailights. The headlights gave me fits when mounting them but thats typical for these kits.I also messed up the flame decal on the cowl but thats why we buy extra kits,in case of mess ups. Here some and thank for looking.

Hi

Nice build. Really bright paint - just what I like on a hot rod - with a good theme running through the model.

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks everyone for the comments it means a lot to me.There is one area of building models that I don't do and maybe it's time I should start doing is wiring the motors like crazyrichard suggested. This is one part of the build process I always ignore, and I have all the necessities to do it I have just always found that it takes away my time to finish the model.I will in the future give it more thought and time, it just adds that much more realism to the finished build.

Very nice model, George.   :)

But, the lack of wiring ~ especially on an exposed Hemi ~ and the untreated seam in the middle of the bell housing and transmission really detract from what would otherwise be a most excellent build!!

Try wiring, at least the plugs/distributor, on your next build.  But don't look at it as taking time away from finishing the model, look at it as part of really finishing the model.  After a couple of times, you'll find it really doesn't take much effort ~ or time ~ at all!  And, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much that simple little step will make your model pop!

Wow George, that is a beautifully scaled paint job! I'm a big fan of yellow too. I have to refrain myself from painting everything yellow!  :D

Personally, I don't really care if it has wiring or not. it's a major clean build and having fun building the way you want to build it is what it's all about my model brother!

I love everything about it!
