Nice Chevy! Excellent paint job, and the color is perfect! Amazing that the paint went on that smooth out of the can. Great work! Did you do anything special in the prep work (sanding, primer, etc.) before spraying it on?

Sam thanks for your comment, there is no special prep. this build does not have primer. you can see the slight white grooves in the trunk lines. all l can say ls l have painted many models....

Wow Carl, very nice paint! It's hard to believe that you didn't polish it. That is such a pretty color and suites the Bel Air very well. Thanks for sharing it with us.

That's a really, really pretty build! Nice and clean and the color is perfect! Imagine that colour on a '61 or '62 Pontiac combined with a white roof?
It looks so period correct and I am pretty sure that GM had a colour close to that back then. Do you know if it is still available? All in all, a VEERY striking and super nice build! AAAA++++ ![]()

Gary, you can still find that boyd color on ebay. l have an old can left. it still pops up from time to time on ebay. Testor stop making it about 2 years ago....thanks for your compliment....carl s
