Finally found something usable on a 1/24 Maisto "All Stars" Die cast Camaro. Believe me it was an uphill battle to find the right size.

You could try taking a profile foto and photoshopping colors on it to see what looks good.

How about black with a red-pearl-in-clear topcoat?  It would be subtle yet dramatic when you walk around it, flashing red-pearl highlights to show off the sculptural bodywork.

Very interesting build and nice body work going on.  I can't wait to see how you do the front end.

I've always wanted to know how to paint this effect. Any tips? Thanks (yep, noobie!)

Any time I have done something like this, I used a pearl powder added to the intercoat clear before the clear topcoat.

Thank you, the front grille will be created with rods to resemble billet. The front suspension however, that is going to be interesting.

Not sure on the motor yet, been busy with body work. Got more progress.......one more sanding session needed with 600 grit. Sorry they are a little blurry. Silly camera!

Now now, it's not the camera. Your hand was still in sanding mode and didn't turn off for the picture!!!!!!! LOL

Is that the engine from a Mustang Mach III or the Super Stallion?
