I was looking for the colors for the Challenger and Attempt 1 for the versions represented by the kits.

I think it may be difficult to say with any real accuracy what color the Challenger was last time it was raced. It's been restored somewhat, but there are inconsistancies with the appearance now and then, most immediately noticable being the size of the nose graphics.

A couple of people have guessed over the years that the supercharged version was a medium blue-metallic Pontiac color code for 1960, as it was Pontiac powered. That would seem to be consistent with Revell molding the original issue in metallic blue, and not calling out any paint color for the body shell. The engines were definitely painted Pontiac engine-blue during its racing days.

You may be able to get some help from the NHRA Motorsports Museum folks, where I believe the car still resides.

Thanks.  I will contact NHRA.  Although the Pontiac blue sounds right

Mickey's son Danny is still around and is preparing to go after the wheel-driven IC LSR in the Challenger 2.5, maybe later this year. He may know what color his dad's car was.
