1-139 Lotus Ford?
Yes, IMC's first kit was a Lotus-Ford Indianapolis racer. It's the 1963 car like AMT's better known kit, and isn't the same as the '65 Indy Winner that IMC made later. You're next.

Mind if I throw to back to you? I can't think of anything suitable right now.

OK. Here goes. AMT's first Trophy Series kit was the 1932 Ford Roadster. What was the second?

Wasn't it some kind of racing or drag boat ?
Edit - This is the one I was thinking of .

No, the second Trophy Series kit wasn't the Rayson Craft or the '40 Ford Coupe.

'57 T-Bird?
#34

No, it wasn't the '32 Vicky, '36 Ford, Avanti, '28 Model A, or the '57 T-Bird. One of the early responses to this question was on the right track, but didn't guess the correct kit.
There was an ad for the kit I'm thinking of and the '32 Ford roadster in the August 1959 issue of Hot Rod introducing them as "TWO SENSATIONAL NEW TROPHY SERIES KITS," but I'm feeling a bit stupid since I just looked at my box and don't see a Trophy Series logo on it. That leaves a different kit as the second with a Trophy Series logo on the box. So I guess either one will be correct for this trivia question.

Following your hint, the 39/40 Ford sedan?
Nope. The '40 Ford coupe wasn't the kit that was on the right track.

I just found an article on Centerline Hobbies that says the Trophy kits were introduced with the '32 Ford Roadster kit and 3 in 1 Customizing Boat , but I can't find any info on the boat . Maybe someone else will have better luck .
Also , it look like some of the boxes were printed without the "Trophy" logo , go figure .

Yes, the second kit was the Customizing Boat kit. The third Trophy kit, second with logo on box was the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Sorry for the confusion. Here is the ad from Hot Rod introducing the Deuce roadster and the boat.
