No. I'll give a hint right off the bat- this kit never made it to production, but was advertised.

Were they gonna make one of these?

With IMC, who knows, but this one isn't nearly as aerodynamic as a GT40.

It was an old Dodge semi tractor.I think it was a d-700 or something like that.It was rather boxy if I remember correctly,I would Google it but I don't want to cheat.

Since they had done the little red wagon, could it have been an A-100 van?

Correct. I think Art Anderson even mentioned seeing the sell sheets(?) and pre-ordering some back when he attended the pre-iHobby show when this kit was announced:

Sorry I took so long to get back.
Fairly easy one:
What then small model company teamed up with AMT during 1955-6 to make one model and then went their separate way?

Are you thinking of the AMT/Revell co-labelled kits?

Yes I was.The partnership is the only reason why Revell is so big today. Once they split they got into a legal battle, Revell got a large amount of cash which they used to make new tools and get their product out there. Sorry my question was a little off,I was only aware of the Mercury kit and not any others.

Let's roll with it.
There are eight more co-branded kits I've seen. Name (or drop a picture of) them.

Think there are nine more.....
1955 Ford Sunliner
1955 Cadillac Eldorado
1955 Mercury four-door sedan
1956 Ford Sunliner
1956 Cadillac Eldorado
1956 Chrysler New Yorker
1955 Buick Century Riviera
1956 Buick Century Riviera
But can't remember for sure if this one ever had both brands on the box.
1956 Continental Mark II

1955 Mercury Montclair ( yellow car on box )
1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner (green car on box )
1955 Buick Century ( red car on box )
1956 Buick Century ( blue and white car on box )
1956 Ford Fairlane Sunliner ( yellow and black car on box )
1956 Cadillac El Dorado Convertible ( Peach ? )
That's more six that I know of . I would guess there was a 1955 Cadillac and a 1955 Chrysler too .
