More of a lucky guess than anything, but I'd love to see what that kit looks like!

Here's the next question...

What's a Kar-Plak? "Bonus" question...What four "Kars" were in the series?

Was that the name AMT gave the wall mounts for your recently finished styline models? I believe one was a galaxie.

No, good guess but those are different. The Kar-Plaks were made by AMT though.

Two of the kits are:

'68 Corvette

'68 Barracuda

I'm guessing the other two are '68s as well? Either way, I Googled and these are pretty cool.  :)

Yeah, the according to a flyer in my box other two kits were a '68 Camaro and a '68 Mustang.

They're a partial car that was chrome plated and meant to be mounted on a piece of black cardboard. The cardboard then fit into an injection-molded "picture" frame. I have a '68 Corvette that is built. It's basically a one-piece partial body shell, two mag wheels, and two tires (the ones in mine are hollow MPC Goodyears, so they probably aren't the originals). The wheels mount to a bracket that's hidden behind the body. The one that I have is only the second Kar-Plak I've ever seen in person, the other was at a Toledo Toy Show in the '80s. I'm pretty sure it was the Camaro, but it might have been the Barracuda....can't remember for sure. The picture is my Corvette box. Casey, you're next.

That would have been my next input. Thinking about the iconic 68's Had to be Mustang and Camaro.

That's from the AMT 1970 Monte Carlo annual. I have the kit, but didn't know the name of the driver.

I can throw out a question.

What kind of a car was the Wonder Bird, and who made the kit?
