No, you were right first time Chuck. It's definitly the old tool AMT last seen before as the AHC-100.

No, the pics are from an eBay listing. I really like the slicks, too, and lost out on the listing for these, which appear to be the same:
I don't know for sure, but I am assuming AMT updated their annual kits each year.
Aw, c'mon Dave. That shrink wrap'll peel off with ease, and you'll get nice big whiff of old styrene and somebody's musty basement to boot. Do it!
I actually do plan on building it...that was why i bought it.....just trying to finish off many of the already started kits before I start on any fresh kits......even though fresh could mean I have had it for 20 years!

I just snagged a handful of 70s Camaros at a swap meet ... haven't even looked closely at them yet, but I know a complete, unbuilt AHC-100 is one of them!
Guess I'd better get with it!

Here's an AHC-100 with the newest 701/2 chassis and interior tub Bashed into it. I still have alot todo to it but they fit together almost perfect with very little wok needed. I used the AHC's front seats, they don't match the rear that and the console is wrong but its good enough for a nicely detailed shelf model.

For almost 20 years I had been looking for a '74 to '76 Camaro to build as a LT. Bought a '79 Revell Z-28 and to find all the scoops are molded into the body. A few weeks later I was over at another builders house, he had one just sitting there (1975 AMT). I asked him about it, told him I have been looking for one and I told him my plans for one. He smiled and sold it to me. I'm still gitty with joy that I found it!

I would love to see a retooling-release as a Z28. I bought one new in 1974 and kept it until 1982. Not a super car by any means, but a whole lot of fun. I finally sold it to a friend who wanted it for his son. He had bugged me for a couple of years, and one day I threw out a price. The next day he brought me an envelope full of cash.
