Michael, you might already know this but,, it may not matter to you, just thought I'd mention it before you started painting it ,,

The Cadillac windshield is incorrect for that body serise. You'd need the windshield from  an MPC '76 Caprice or the Toronado you got the nose from to be correct.

If you need another vote for having this cast in resin...you've got mine. Love these old Pontiac land yachts. Just my opinion, but there aren't enough Pontiac kits out there...especially some great passed over subjects. Keep going...loving this.

I probably would never have picked up on the windsheild, but those push-button door handles need to be corrected. I would suggest a small piece of flat styrene strip placed roughly where the existing door handles are.

The amount of work you put into this shows, Michael. Even if not absolutely 100% correct in its present state, you clearly have made a representation of the intended subject.

If those corrections are made and a resin is cast, I'll definitely buy one.

The front is looking really good.

Keep it going in that direction. This will come out very nicely when you're done. And I'm with Steve, I would love to see this cast in resin if this comes out right.

What did you do with the rest of the Tornado????

You know this guy was also the driver of the famous Charger in Bullitt. He was the man in the 60's and 70's.

He's my all-time favourite Stuntman ! He's been doing stunts since the 40's or 50's ; he was close friends with James Dean , and was with him when Dean died in that infamous crash .

He was also a cop in french connection jean hackman kills him in the end he may have driven the lemans under the train not sure haveto check credits

He certainly did drive that '71 LeMans in French Connection ; and as you've stated , he played the part of one of the cops in said film.

Sorry guys but Gene Hackman drove the Lemans in the movie, he won an academy award for the driving that he did in that Lemans.. ;)

I kind of felt bad for the guy that had the 71 Lemans especially after Gene Hackman said he needed his car for police business as after the way the Lemans looked with all of that damage I would have liked to hear the excuse that Gene would have gave him when he got it back...
