Wow do I ever suffer from modellers A.D.D this month.I have a total of 4 build on my bench that all spend equal time being workrd on every day.

But this one is the newest.

Here is the inspiration behind the build.

1962ImpalaFront.jpg

It will look very similar to it but not exactly like it.

Mock-up.

1962ImpalaReplicaBuildUp1.jpg

I filled in some fender trim mounting holes.

1962ImpalaBuildUp4_zpse7ad533c.jpg

I painted the rim center black.

1962ImpalaBuildUp3_zps9a6ec155.jpg

The chassis is all painted.

1962ImpalaBuildUp2_zps5cc35156.jpg

The colors are dupli-color clover green pearl, testors gloss black, and aluminum.

All covered in 3 coats of Folk Art clear.

Thanx for lookin'

Jeremy

It is really neat that you posted the photo of the inspiration for the car..... when you have that to go by the result is usually quite good....  you are proving that to be true...  Nice work!!!

Finally got a chance to work on this build. I finished 2 customer builds a few weeks ago and took some time off from building. But now I'm back.

Quick mock up with the new painted centers

Ride height set.

1962ImpalaBuildUp6_zps12be899a.jpg

I'm going with a Hilborn set up on the 409.Still undecided on the color though.

What do you guys think either black, gold or another shade of green?

Thanx for lookin'

What a great inspiration photo. Awsume ldea. Love the wheels and engine. On the engine you could go body color or even silver.

Thanx fellas I appreciate it.

Toolas, thanx for your opinion, unfortunately at this time the chassis is already painted and assembled. Other wise that would have been a great color combo.

Anybody else have a suggestion on the colour of the motor?

Wow can't wait to see more. I think gold injector stacks would fit the green nicely.
