I have a tamiya mp4-7 formula 1 car and im wanting to paint the red on instead of using the decals in the kit. Anyone know what color to use for the red? Ive heard the tamiya Fluorescent red is close but im not sure. Thanks for the help!

Tamiya Flouro Red is the best color. Just do very, very fine mist coats over white.

Tamiya TS-36. If not airbrushing use many light coats to build up the color.

I have Tamiya's 1/12 McClaren driven by Senna.
I am actually thinking of Candy Apple Red over white.
Will do a spoon test one of these days
I am about to start the Tamiya Toyota GT car that raced at LeManns in 1999.
It is red also. may try it on this one first.
