i don't remember seeing any in resin, the one on the real truck looked like an aftermarket sleeper.it was pretty much just a square box if i remember correctly.you might be able to scratch build it.

Ertl offered their Great Dane box/refer trailer With those decals
Way back when for that movie!!
I almost bought one, and wish I had!!
MAybe with all the re-issues they are doing, and all the New "Hollywood"
licenses they are adding, we will get that kit back in the next year or 2.

Good to know.
Though, at leas now, those with it can easily Scan it into their computer and print it
on decal paper to correct that

That sleeper will need to be scratch built. Nobody offers one that's even close. The real truck had a prototype sleeper (there were two made) and after the movie, the and I think another film, the sleepers were removed and the trucks were sold. One is currently a bobtail grain truck. I'm pretty sure Jerry can make the smaller "hold up scene" for the sides of the trailer. I know he has them for the truck in the first movie.

Yea, If you have the artwork, you can scale it to either First movie trailer or second.
The mural is the same in both, just on different trailers, and smaller in size on the
silver trailer from the second movie.
Also, wasn't the trailer in 2 a drop-deck type?? Not a Moving van, but similar??

From looking at the film the other day it looks to be just a great dane reefer with the door on the side like the ertl one I think ?
It didn't look like a drop deck to me. But It has been known for me to be wrong before ![]()

Correct the sleeper was a prototype very similar to the sleeper on IH's eagle broughm. It can easily be scratchbuilt. The trailer in part 2 was a Utility electronics trailer Yes it is a drop floor to increase cubic space as 53 footers han't happened yet. I've heard two stories as to the builder of the sleeper. Able body company or Mclaughlin. It would be nice see the part 2 truck modeled.

I though I remembered the slightly Lowered vs flat floor on that trailer.

Did ertl ever offer the GMC as snowmans rig? (Or did I miss somthing?) If not doesnt that seem a bit strange to offer the trailer but not the truck !? It would be interesting to see them release the General with the sleeper and decals.

The General from SB 2 was never offered. AMT offered a GMC General kit but the sleeper and decals are different. The trailer is a step deck van and Auslowe of Australia sells a kit that is very similiar to it.

SB2 is a drop deck dry box.
SB1 was reeffer.
SB1 does not have the blue stripe. Sb2 does.
I've look for clips and photos can't make out what brand of trailers.
fun info, The move made a record jump. Also the roller coaster was about to be disk mantel a week before.but the producers had them too hold up.
