While I got this topic started already I'm going to break form and ask a question. Did all the countach lp 500s have that hideous wing on the back or can I leave it off?

You can indeed leave it off. It was optional. If I remember right, the wing actually made noise because it was so draggy, aerodynamically, and it made more drag than downforce. More styling than function.

Twenty one years? That's still new. In my stash is a Hubley '32 Chevy metal kit that I got for my birthday in 1967.I started to file the pieces and then put the kit away when I realized it was beyond the abilities I had at age thirteen. It's still not done and I don't know when I'll get to it again.

I have one from 1982, that i had started to scratch build a "better" front suspension. Discovered that I was in WAY over my head. I take it out every once in a while and think about starting to work on it again, but it ussually goes back in the box to be saved for another day. Maybe some day.......
As far as the Lambo goes, you can have it anyway you want. Its a model, and its yours, do what you want.

Exactly ditto. Except 1974 and Xmas.
