I'm guessing this is AMT's 2010 Camaro kit ("Showroom Replica"?) with a newly tooled light bar, bull bar, new decals, and maybe some clear red and blue lenses?

I like that.

Just hope they can put Styrene seats in it!!!

Wonder what departments have one??

Interesting that we are getting so many Police kits lately!!!

I detect a boxart imposter.

Round2's website doesn't show the upcoming police Camaro kit.

None of the vendors have any kind of illustrations, so this one is pure speculation.

The kit is indicated as # 817/12, and isn't "due" until September or October.

At any rate the illustration is an aftermarket concept, not R2 artwork.

I have to agree with Dan here,  but who knows,  Casey, were did you find the box art at?

Now, lets say that is the correct box art, looks like we are not getting anything new in the way of exterior police equipment , the Go Rhino push bar, and the light bar appears to be a Whelen patriott bar, both can be found in the Lindberg Charger police kit , but I will say this, it will be nice to have that Go Rhino push bar in 1/25th scale

Back to the light bar, it could also be a Whelen Liberty bar , its hard to tell.

Gotta say, the Camaro looks bad you know what as PPV

Considering what a fetid joke the light lumps...err lightbars in the Charger are, a 8 year old could design a better looking one.

There are a handful of these floating around in actual patrol use (as opposed to being a PR/D.A.R.E dealership donation). Allendale, SC, Seven Points, TX come to mind along with the 5 bad mama-jamma stealth traffic units Houston has...

Steven's Hobby's 'site.

I have no idea if the box art is true to what the final box art will be or not, but what's inside makes for more interesting discussion fodder when it comes to new kits.

True that.

Stevens probably cobbled up the fake box so there would be something visual to post.

So, having dismissed the box art for the time being, as you said, 'what's inside make for more interesting discussion...'

So, what's inside?

I would suspect Round2 first, as I think Steven's is merely a distributor. Remember the '56-ish cab over Pepsi truck box art they showed at iHobby? That was way off from the new rendering, and what the kit is likely to be.

So, what's inside?

See post #1 for my thoughts.  ;)

I see.  Just guessing, eh?

I was hoping you perhaps had some insider scoop!

Guess we'll know for sure after it's all tooled up and released.  Hope it doesn't have a whip antenna, a bunch of K-9 decals and a set of Appleton spotlights!   ;)

I visit Stevens Hobby's website every now and then, copy the pictures of new stuff, then repost it here. That's the extent of my "scooping."
