Last issue was in 2004 or 2005. I would like to see a reissue too so I could build the car from "All or Nothing" by Theory of a Deadman.

Yep, that's the car. I started it with a built kit and DESTROYED the body beyond recognition.

Not the same scale
Not the same kit
Not the same stuff inside
It's from the Revell "Fiddly" series (floppy doors, hoods, trunk and spindly suspension, and the same ol 409)
come to think of it, I don't have one of those. But I still want a Monogram '53

This was the topic i started with. I have a few more screenshots in there if anybody else would want to try to build it.

I would say so. Even though it's 1-24th scale made it look way larger than a comparable 1955 Bel Air , this kit went together well and looked nice on a display shelf .

Both the Monogram and Revell 53 Chevys have proportion problems, and the Revell kit is far from stock. This subject is long over due for a new tool.

I knew that.
and who builds em stock?

Maybe in a two pack? that would be pretty nice.

Problem is, the Monogram '53 was on the books almost non-stop for ages it seemed. The market was so saturated you almost couldn't give them away. And at 1/24, wheel choices were limited. They're not hard to find even now.

Yeah I'll be getting another one of these when I get around to working on all the '53 cars that I can find. Or I can redo the one I built about 20 years ago. The scale thing is really not an issue for me.

IMHO, that is a poor excuse for a model kit and not worthy of my time or glue.

That issue has some excellent tires

What is the difference between this kit and the later Revell version? I have one that is in the Lowrider box but the rest of the kit is really nice.
