Any suggestions please? Been using humbrol balsa cement in tube but find it rather expensive & more air pockets than glue!!! Thanks. Andy.

When I was a kid building balsa planes plain old Elmers white glue worked really good.

I use CA glue for balsa on my R/C planes. It works very well. It's quick and permanent. Just about any brand you find at the hobby shops works.

White glue (Elmer's) and CA (superglue) both work just fine.

Elmers (yellow) wood glue..u can get at lumber yard or hardware store..

I like a medium CA, Hold the pieces together, apply a drop or a bead, it bonds instantly. For laminating (gluing two sheets together face to face), any yellow wood glue, but it must be clamped and allowed to dry. For laminating curved forms, 30 minute epoxy.

Well like everyone has said ..Elmers or carpenters glue work the best and you can thin it down with water and use it like a sanding sealer too and at all joints as a filler bead.

Thickened CA works well. Use baking soda to fill any gaps first.
