Sounds great. This is my first lowrider build so if anything doesn't look right, please let me know. I've had this idea for quite some time and it all started from my wheel choice, which I will be keeping a secret for a while.
Any who, I got a chance tonight for about an hour of building and I didn't get much done. I shortened the rear of the frame to fit within the length of the bed. I raised the floor of the bed to where it needs to be to allow the frame to sit right. I will be replacing the bed floor with a flat piece of plastic to replicate a steel floor.
Lastly, I cut notches out of the bottom front of the cab for clearance of my new frame cross member.

There is still a bit of redesigning to be done to the frame before it is finished, but it is a good start.

Got your PM. Looking forward to seeing the 64.
I got the rear suspension narrowed, along with the axle and I also got some wheel tubs molded into the bed for wheel clearance.

Here is what I got done this week and a bit today. I cut the tops of the rear wheel wells off of a 60 Impala chassis and molded them into the bed. The floor of the bed has been raised quite a bit.

I notched the tranny cross member and sanded a little thickness off of the part under the oil pan (my brain just froze up on the name) to lower the engine about a 16th so that my tranny tunnel wouldn't need to be as tall.

Lastly, I made a tranny tunnel out of some pop can aluminum.

I'm home now and my wife is sick so I may get a chance to do some more work tonight.
Let me know what you think. Remember, this is my first lowrider so I may need some guidance.

I began tonight to open up the grille while sitting with the family and watching a movie. I also added a few structural supports to the frame a couple of days ago. So I have been slowly making progress as and will have some pics to post tomorrow. I spent an hour today looking at photos online of online 6's in lowriders to see how I want to detail mine. I think I am going to go with a dual carb setup. It amazes me that I have not found ONE photo of a lowrider 41 Chevy pickup. Got any?

I've been busy for the last month studying for a couple of tests for a new position at work. I still have managed to get some small updates done.
I made some fender skirts but still need to build them up for a bit of curve.

I also finished off the rear of the frame to create a mount for the bumper mounts.

I still have to finish opening up the grille that I started before the month of studying.

BTW- My boss just walked in and offered me the new position!!!!! Things are looking up.
Now back to finishing the grille.

It's good to see new life on this CBP. Welcome. I've gotten a bit of progress done on my 41 Chevy pickup. I am surprised and disappointed that I have not been able to find any pictures of 41 Chevy lowrider pickups.
Anywho, I got some fenderskirts made from successively smaller pieces of flat styrene and putty to get that nice curved shape.

IMAG0028.jpg
I also got some time tonight after priming my 50 Ford sedan to make a front bumper for this that is more fitting of a lowrider. I added a guard and some driving lights that I will be giving some yellow lenses. I got some of the chrome engine parts from the Galaxie 48 Chevy kit from a good friend to liven up the engine bay. This thing will now be triple carbed.
I still need to finish cleaning up the opening of the grille bars. I have been saving that job as filler for when I am sitting and doing nothing else.
