Here is my version of a surf wagon painted with Tamiya acrylics. The kit is an AMT and went together without much fuss.

That is REALLY nice! Very clean build. I like the color. I used a similar color on a 57 Ford a while ago. Great work!

Very nice. What colors did you us on the woodgrain, and what was your technique? Also, what is the intake on the engine?

Thanks for the kind words. As for the colours used on the woodgrain, the lighter shade is Tamiya Wooden Deck Tan (xf-78), while the recessed portion is done in Tamiya NATO Brown (xf-68).  Both colours were then given an overcoat of Tamiya Clear Orange (x-26).

 

The technique I used was I painted the lighter colour, then masked that with Bare Metal Foil before applying the darker brown to the recessed. Effectively 2 hours of masking and 5 minutes of airbrushing.
