This idea is floating around in my head. Gonna do a 1/87th scale slot track shop.





Here is a pic of the actual track.



Going to start on the track construction today.

Okay change in plans. I did a different building than what I had pictured before.

Next up was some minor construction, and pre-placement of the track design.

Then it was time to construct the track.

And then to place it inside.

Now I have to do the inside walls, and interior pieces.

Not that great at math, but 1" = 7'3" in full size.

ooh i thought that was your track and you where going to add buildings to it  

this is also very cool , good job on making the track ... must be fidely on that scale

The worst part was getting all of the bracing for the guardrail cut. Lots of little squares of plastic. Then the guard rails were a bit tight in some places also.

COOL... wish they would make things like this in 1/25th or 1/24th scale

Update on this one. The build was too small for the track so am scratch building a bigger building to house it in. Also I wiil be adding a drag strip tack for it, and who knows what else.

Pretty much have the new building done. Just have to do the doors. Here are a couple of pics of it.



Here you can see the track has more room, and will be adding a drag strip in the back.



Now it will be time to design the interior for it.

That's really cool. Anytime I see a slot car track in an old building I think of that restaurant "Jack Rabbit Slim's" from Pulp Fiction. That would be a cool place to build in scale.

Funny meetin' ya overhere Jr. Dig that diorama, but you know   That track was huge in full scale, 220 ft.

Found some pics on the web for interior shots. Also got the dragstrip built, ( no pics of it yet).



The bottom panorama pic I will be cutting down to use only parts of it.

Well the drag strip is built, and 2 guys are just itching to try it out.




Also got the other track painted.



Now its time to start detailing the interior.
