I suspect you're right.  I've only built one rust bucket, and it's pretty lame, but I'm itchin' to do another one.

AK-Interactive products are great. Recenlty, I rcvd a link that allowed you to get one "sample" copy of their digital publication (not the book listed above), and I can tell you it is a step by step instruction type of format.  If the book is in the same vein, it will be VERY useful.

I'm halfway through the book, and I can say that it's excellent!  I'm enjoying every page!

Copies have been shipping to the States already.  I suspect this book is going to inspire a whole new generation of model car builders into creating some rusty and weathered gems.

Are you referring to the new book, Doctor?

I finally found one of the Ratz, Rodz and Rust books on ebay, bought it, and it is fantastic!

Yes, it's a new book, but it's NOT a Lab-RAT-ory production.  It's a book edited and published by AK-INTERACTIVE on WEATHERING CIVILIAN VEHICLES.

By the way, they don't have a price on the book yet, but you can order it from here:

If you have any problems, you can talk to Iain Hamilton and he will help you.

I plan to get one of these books - I'm building up a library of stuff to help me venture into weathering. The inspiration for this was Dr Cranky's book - someone who is a real asset to our fantastic hobby!

Thank you, James, I appreciate the kind and heartfelt words.  We are simply trying to get more folks to realize how much fun they can have when they weather a model car. My very best wishes to all the great folks over in Wolverhampton.

Thanks, Don.  The 50 Ford pick up on the cover was built and painted by Marc Reusser, and it's a mind-blowing model.  We all watched each other build the models for the magazine over at the AK-INTERACTIVE FORUM, and it was a real treat.  Now it's a double treat that the models and articles are out in book form.
