This is the first Aoshima kit I have ever built. Curbside but a pretty nice kit. Clean parts and no real fit issues. I striped the chrome from the wheels and painted them black. Paint is Testors Flamming Orange with 3 coats of clear.

I'm not a fan of painted wheels, but your build sure looks good and is so SHINY :) :) :) .  I started the Hilux kit yesterday.

Thanks guys. I'm kind of wishing I left the wheels chrome myself.

Nice build Ray.  The black wheels really go well with that orange.

Yo Ray - I have the Toyota Hi Lux pickup that I'm building.  The kit has a set of chrome wheels but no tires and I can't find tires to fit the wheels so I'm going with Ma's Resin Desert Dogs and bead lock wheels.  If you'd like the chrome wheels, maybe we can work a trade?

Gave the truck away to my BIL. He liked the black wheels. Thank you for the offer however.
