This is a little something I am going to be putting together to remind me of some of the cars I saw in the streets of Puerto Rico when I was younger, I will be painting it with the Testors line of paints in the shade that you see..........

These are the speakers I will be putting in, I don't think you can get any more realistic than this and it only took a bit more time as the pictures show............

These are some resin copies from a very good friend of mine called Harold Bradford from Historic Racing Miniatures, they are absolutely stunning and this is how they will look after applying Alclad Polished Aluminum to them. Thanks to my very dear friend Luis Ayala from P.R. for getting me the originals and to Harold for the copies, yes they are still available through Harold if anybody is interested..............The beautiful tires are from another Tamiya kit I have in my stash.

Lookin' great so far man! Those Pirelli tires are absolutely perfect vintage for the car. Are you going to two-tone it or just the blue?
Either way its gonna be sweet! Lets see if you can get that thing as low as my GTI!  ;)

I am planning on doing it all a same color, not many two tones in that era so I wan't to keep it as close as possible to that time period.............

I think they had 14 inch tires, not 15. And the wheels, while similar to, are not 100% accurate for, an AE86. These cars are still popular cars in the import community. And the AE86's engine was no slouch, it's self.
Looks good so far.

My 1:1 was a Metallic blue, 5 Speed . B)

The idea is not to go 100% accurate, these rims were very popular on these cars, they are actually Supra rims but they were just as popular as the Rally Wheels on the Chevys.

Yes they had a 14 in wheel in the celica supras. But this wheel is suppose to represent a 13" wheel that was an aftermarket wheel that was called Baby Supras. for the race track alot of guys used the 14" wheel in the front that was a narrow wheel
from the celica supra and the 13" in the rear a wider wheel with a slick.
I wheel see if i can post some pics.

MMMMMM, TASTY!!! That color is dynamite. Good thing the paint came out so good, because you've got less work to do on the polishing!
Good show man, keep it going! ^_^ :D

This is just a little more progress on my Corolla after rubbing it out. I have to start on the window trim and other small details to try finishing this one up. A mock up just to have an idea how it will look at the end........
